OUR MISSION

A Broken System, Rebuilt Around the Source

Alvera was born after a Salvadorian/Peruvian husband and Portuguese wife tried to find differentiated quality, source and nut types — and couldn't.

OUR STORY

Alvera was born after a Salvadorian/Peruvian husband and Portuguese wife tried to find differentiated quality, source and nut types. We set out to fix a broken system — one where origin is lost, producers are undervalued, and businesses can't find genuinely differentiated raw material.

Our goal is to supply truly premium, fair trade nuts, whilst bringing back value to producing communities and protecting local forests.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

We do not have suppliers – we have partnering communities.

We invest in our communities through training initiatives, aiding with certification processes, providing equipment as well as partnering with local organisations focusing on revitalising surrounding forests.

Our priority is to ensure true fair value is provided to the origin and our clients.

SUPPLY CHAIN

Increasingly extended, commoditised, multiple step, multiple distributer supply chain.

Most nuts on the market travel through four or five hands before reaching you —each step adding cost, removing traceability, and moving value away from the people who grew them.

Businesses become unable to source differentiated raw material. True premium products unavailable whilst all nuts come from same base source and re-distributed by many.

Price-quality relationship of current commoditised offer hinders growth and brand innovation.

Alvera allows for the sourcing of origin and quality special ingredients coherent with your brand's quality.
